Dear Readers,

On behalf of the Editorial Board and myself, I am thrilled to present to you the latest edition of the Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review (PUR). Proudly supported by the Frederick Honors College, the PUR is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that has celebrated over three decades of undergraduate research and creative scholarship. Our mission is to spotlight the remarkable work produced by students across the University of Pittsburgh and beyond, all under the dedicated mentorship of faculty from every academic discipline. Through this journal, we aim to cultivate a dynamic community of young scholars and innovators.

This issue would not have been possible without the dedication and expertise of many individuals. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. Joshua Cannon, Abby Chen, the Frederick Honors College, the University Library System, and our diligent peer reviewers for their unwavering support throughout the publication process.

We are proud to share these exceptional contributions with you, our readers. It is our hope that the scholarship showcased in this edition inspires curiosity, reflection, and a continued passion for discovery.

Thank you for joining us in celebrating the achievements of undergraduate researchers.

Sincerely,
Abhay Sheeri
Editor-in-Chief, Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review
